We are open First and Third Fridays (6:00pm - 10:00pm)and the Saturdays after (noon - 5:00pm).

Call for Entries: MOD

A group exhibition celebrating mid-century architecture and design, reflecting the Arizona Community.

Chartreuse gallery in Phoenix, AZ announces MOD a group exhibition planned for April 2016 in conjunction with Modern Phoenix Week..


This exhibit will be a show that reflects the mid-century community in Arizona, with a focus on architecture (drawings, renderings, 3D models, etc), but also furniture, fabric, advertising and design.


The show will take place at Chartreuse located in Bragg’s Pie Factory, 1301 NW Grand Ave, part of the Lower Grand Avenue Arts & Small Business district in downtown Phoenix. MOD will open on First Friday, April 1, 2016 through Saturday April 16th.


MOD is being produced by Nancy Hill and Mike Oleskow.



The MOD exhibition is open to everyone. The only limitation is that entries must represent original works of art or design and must contain an imagery that relates Mid-century design and/or architecture of Arizona.



A variety of artworks are welcome for submission, including: oil, watercolor, acrylic, graphite, charcoal, photography, printmaking, textile, mixed media, video, furniture and three dimensional pieces.  



Please submit a high-resolution digital image of each piece you are submitting. Email images to no later than January 29, 2016. Please include the following information in your email:




1)    Name

2)    Address

3)    Phone number

4)    Email


For each item being submitted, please list the following:


1)    Title of work

2)    Medium

3)    Dimensions

4)    Price (includes 40% gallery commission) or NFS

5)    Description of how piece should be hung/displayed

6)    Name of digital image file you are sending


Submissions must contain an accurate representation (including any planned framing or display apparatus) of work to be exhibited. Show management and gallery staff will review all submissions and make final selections.



Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than February 15, 2015. Notification will be made via email and by posting on the gallery website.



ARTWORK MUST BE DELIVERED FRAMED OR MOUNTED AND READY TO BE HUNG. By March 25 at Chartreuse, 1301 NW Grand Avenue, Phoenix, AZ.



Artist retains all copyrights to submitted images and represented artwork. Digital images submitted with artist entry are for exhibition selection only and will be deleted after completion of the selection process. Artists selected for the exhibit grant Chartreuse and the show producer rights to use the selected image(s) on printed materials and the gallery web site for promotional purposes only. Chartreuse and show producer retain no copyrights.



All work, unless indicated as not for sale (NFS), will be available for sale during the exhibit. Chartreuse will retain a commission of 40% on all artwork sold during the exhibition.



Pick-up of any unsold work will be on April 20, 2016 at Chartreuse.
